Hepi 2008. May the year brings joy and wealth to all of us! It’s quarter to 1am. I can’t get myself to sleep so I decided to type this. Apologies, I haven’t did any comment on recent MU matches. I watched them but I just dun feel like writing for now. In fact, dun feel like doing anything. I dunno.

Yeah, I did watched the fireworks. Nope. Neither in KLCC nor Dataran. I watched from me home. Balcony mengadap KLCC. Tgk la dr situ. Hassle free! Boring? Yeah u can call me boring but I am done wit partying. Not totally but I dun see the point of sitting in the traffic for hours just to get off from one place. Tido lagi sedap!

Hujan plak tu this time around. This is the first time ujan I think. Dah baper tahun aku duduk @mp@ng, kalau time New Year ke, National Day ke, kuar je la kat balcony nampak la segala fireworks. Tak penah ujan. This year ujan. So, fireworks kat KLCC nampak mcm tak menarik sangat.

Selalu langit sampai cerah. KLCC nampak glowing. Tp kali ni mcm berjerebu pon ade. Well, jadik la. Ade jugak la fireworks drpd tak de ape. Mat rempits all sibuk horn. Kunun nak bagitau dah 2008 la. Annoying pon ade. Apart from KLCC and Dataran, there are several fireworks which I cud see from my place.

I think from the Curve & Bukit Bintang. Ade lagi a few tp tatau la dr mane dtgnye tu. Here’s my reflection for the year 2007.

1) Masuk umah baru. Alhamdullilah all went well despite kopak bayar itu ini.

2) After only 2 years in consultancy field, was promoted to senior position. Alhamdullilah!

3) Lost a close family member

These are the things I cud recall. Ngantok la plak. What’s my resolution?

1) Nak pegi Old Trafford.

At the same time, I cud hear Mom crying out loud. Mak Lang is Mom’s eldest sister. It was hard for Mom to take it. ‘Innalillahiwainnailaihirajiun.’ Immediately I called Baby @ work. She was shocked and I heard a sobbing sound. ‘Kite balik ye long? ‘ She asked. ‘Yeah, up to u’. We hung up and I continued my bowl of Maggie.

Yes, I was having my brunch @ 3pm when I got the piece of news. It was shocking. I didn’t asked for the reason. Just dun feel like asking. Baby arrived half an hour later with tears in her eyes. Tasha the cat was puzzled looking at her tuan yang tibe2 packing. We ala kadar prepared ourselves and drove back to BP. Hujan plak lebat in certain areas sampai tak nampak jalan. Licin plak tu jalan, sesekali terasa mcm out of lane. Baby keep reminding me to slow down as I hit 160 at some point. Thank God nothing bad happened to us. It took 2 hours plus for us to arrived.

In between KL and BP, Baby keep texting and even called Dad to check out the latest news. What we cud help out?, Is everything ok particularly Mom. Dad cudn’t give any answers. He sounds lost. What can you say? Another cousin drove all the way from Kuantan. Luckily banjir dah surut kalau tak dia redah jugak katenye.

Arrived right after Maghrib prayers. Jenazah dah sampai. Haidir, the youngest of Mak Lang’s menyambut we all dgn sayu. Mata bengkak2. Crying non stop I supposed. Baby str8 away head to Mom who started to cry again upon seeing us. Lepas salam dgn all family members, makcik2 yg membantu untuk mandikan jenazah announced, ‘Sape2 nak tolong, boleh la bantu sekali’. I immediately offered myself. The 2nd time in my life. The first was when Arwah nenek meninggal. Mak Lang’s kids sumernye lelaki plak tu.

Mak Long cecepat hulurkan selendang. Pakai dah elok dah, tudung plak lupe bawak. The rest of the cousins ramai2 lift jenazah utk dimandikan. Mmg baik lah makcik2 yang bantu mandikan ni. They gave me loads of tips, etc. I looked at d jenazah, tenang jek Mak Lang. I was the only one yang bantu mandikan. Baby wasn’t brave enuff to see the jenazah. Angah was nursing her baby. The rest was preparing stuffs for tahlil. It took around half an hour before jenazah dikapankan. At this point of time, few more cousins arrived.

Selesai dikapankan, we were given the opportunity to look at jenazah for the very last time. Mom started to cry again. Everyone else queued to kiss jenazah until Pak Lang slowly walked and sat next to her late wife. He began to hold her softly and say something. It seems that moment were frozen. He gently kissed her and said goodbye. Tears roled over my cheek. For the past few hours, I didn’t shed a tear. Not until that moment.

Berat mata memandang, berat lagi bahu memikul. Some remind us jangan sampai menitis air mata atas jenazah. We str8 away head to the nearby mosque for Isya’ prayer and solat jenazah. At this point, Mak Anjang baru sampai. Mak Anjang, Mak Lang and Mom adik beradik. I cud see them hugging and consoling each other. Lepas selesai solat, jenazah arrived @ tanah perkuburan.

Hujan mula turun. Pak Imam siap cakap ‘Hujan rahmat’. I stand still, listening to the talkin in the rain. Elok aje talkin selesai, ujan mula reda. We stayed there for half an hour reciting doa, siram pusara dgn air yassin and stuffs. Pak Lang looked reluctant to leave her late beloved wife. So too their sons.

We had tahlil after that. Few family frens came all the way from JB to visit Pak Lang. Nothing can described what we just went thru. Lagi beberapa hari aje lagi nak tahun baru. 2007 has not been a good year for the family. A lot of things happened and sadly it wasn’t the one u thot it wud be. Ade hikmahnye mungkin.

It’s Giggsy’s 100th premiership goals! Hooray! He cud’ve added another one only for the post to
save his shot. That’s me bro! It wasn’t the best of game. It was raining rather heavily in the later
stage but it wasn’t an excuse to let a cheap goal. I dunno what Van Der Saar had in his mind. He looked fragile. Blamed it on the rain?

The line up suggested that Fergie doesn’t want to let Arse slipping away. That’s a good news. Normally he wud field some ‘fringe’ players but not this time though. Well, I second his choice except for Carrick. I dunno what happened to Hargo. The commentator mentioned, Carrick was in place for the injured Hargo. He’s injured? Again?

Damn! This guy is good but how long can we keep up with his injuries? His not even 30 and he’s injured like 30 something Gary Neville. I mean, the older you are the more fragile u are towards injury rite? Come on Hargo.

I knew we’ve thru to the next round in Champs League. So I suppose Fergie will not rush him for that match. But we have Liv next week. I dun want to see Carrick sitting in the middle alongside Anderson. Fullstop. I dun have to give excuses. It’s obvious!

We started the game slowly allowing spaces and time for the opponent to get in. The only real threat started in 35th minute when Rooney was supposed to get into an easy position and tap in Ronaldo’s simple cross. He was hacked down by the opponent with the goal mouth wide open inches in front of him.

Giggsy gave the home crowd something to cheer on when he collected the rebound and scored. It was his first goal in EPL and 100th for the club. Congrats bro. May this be the goal that’ll spearhead ur scoring mode. Come on bro!

Giggsy then gave a glorious pass to Rooney who in turn gallop pass the keeper and supposedly scored. Unforetunately, the post denied him. He smiled dejectedly. I was holding my head. Dats like so unfortunate. Not for Tevez though as he redeemed misses after misses with a well taken goal.

We were 2 up before the half time and the boyz are not playing in full gear yet. I expected them to go all out in the 2nd half which they did. With the post again is the 12th player for Derby, denying Giggsy his 101th goal. Tevez got himself his second goal, scoring from tight angle.

And then come the not so great moment. Anderson was taken off for Fletcher. Saha on for Giggsy and O’Shea for Rio. I dun mind about taking off Rio. He was caught napping sometimes. Looks like Fergie is preparing to rest these trio for the Liv game. Although I wasn’t please with Fergie’s selection, I think this is the right way.

However, these people are never going to work beyond ur expectation. They’re monotoneous. *is this how to spell it?* Fletcher didn’t shine alongside softy Carrick. Saha has some moments but doesn’t use it wisely. O’Shea was slow to react to some counter attack. Hello people, how long have u guys play for MU? The standards shud be higher not just like some team! I checked the website, they dun have schedules for ESPN. Lerr… How come? No Italian, Bundesliga or La Liga. Hairan betol! This is not good Or maybe they only air selected match? Hopefully I can watch MU tonite. Champs League aritu ade jek. Pelik!
