Haven’t watched the ‘real’ MU for quite sometimes. After the first game againts Fulham, we’ve managed to win 4 other games, lost to Arse and draw at Reading. It wasn’t the result MU want to get at this point of time, since Chel$ki are beginning to work their way up the table.
Thank God we have Ole to put MU back to where we belong - top of the EPL table at the moment. Yeah, I know we’re lucky coz Chel$ki only managed a draw againts Villa, but hey, with last nite outstanding performance, I hope we cud keep up the good work and keep winning the games.
I dunno why, I am more worried to see Carrick in the line up than Fletcher nowadays. I must say Fletcher is still not the player I love to watch but last nite he’s work rate is way better than Mr Softie - Carrick. So soft dat I can bet my sister can run the show better than him! LEMAU!
Was bit shocked that Saha wasn’t in the starting line up but putting Ole upfront with Roo cud prove deadly. We kick start the game with the same tempo we did againts Fulham. The flow of the passes, the way we control the game was brilliant.
I was dissapointed though with Roo. At times, he turns so much from his marker that he looses the ball. He shud just play it simple. I know, he wanted to score but this is not all abt him. This is abt the team - MU.
At 1 point, I was a bit worried that our midfield will be muscled by the opponent players. The likes of Parker, Emre and former MU player Butt cud be difficult for MU to breakdown. The opponent manager has also opted for 5 midfielders - the same approached taken by Arse.
Thank God, we learn our lesson and let the football the talking. Yes, there are still passes which cud’ve cost us. Rio looks solid at defence but crap when passing the ball. Vidic was far more better than Rio. With 1 shot on target and assist, he bossed the back 4.
Gary Neville, as usual, if given time and space, will help the forward as much as he cud possibily do. Surprisingly, Fletcher did better on the rite flank this time. He almost got himself in the scoresheet too thanks to a great team work.
NU tried hard to hang on to a first-half-cleansheet, only for Ole to wracked it. MU was awarded with corner kick after some poor clearance by the opponent. Instead of delivering the ball to the penalty box, Ronaldo passed it short, do a 1-2 passes and drilled a shot passed everyone.
Too bad, the post saved it and bounced back straight to Ole, who calmly slot it home. Everyone roared in joy. I smiled. Way to go Ole! It’s wierd though. Normally, u’ll see the serious looking Fergie at the bench. But this time, he looks far more relax.
The 2nd half started and MU again, pressing forward and awarded with another goal. This time, it is a super awkward goal. Hehehe. Vidic was in hand to volley the ball when it somehow struck Ole and looped into the net. He was surprised himself. But hey, it’s another goal!
We had few other chances and Ronaldo was unlucky not to score in many ocassions. He strucked the woodwork thrice - means he cud’ve got a hatrick if it goes in. NU was lucky in number of ocassions - 1st - when Amoebi kicked Vidic to get the ball. It was supposed to be a straight red card in my opinion.
2nd - When NU player handled the ball in the penalty box and hide his hand at the back afterwards. It should be a penalty! But hey, overall we did a good job. Evra was on hand when he came off for the injured Heinze. I hope it’s not that bad!
Van Der Sar was spot on when he stopped Ramage volley. Otherwise, he just sit there and become one of the spectator. I hope when everyone’s back from the international duty, MU can keep winning. Pls be back in piece! Hopefully, we cud welcome Giggsy back on the site.
Come on MU!
