Open letter to Mr Gary Neville
Dear Mr Gary Neville,
How are you? I hope you’re doing fine especially after another great escaped from defeat to Fulham. We’re lucky ain’t we? Getting a clear offside goal counted, letting in 2 goals courtesy of your defending blunders, having 2 useless centre midfielders running like headless chicken, 1 after another sloppy passes, etc, etc.
Well, what is the role and responsibility of a team’s captain? Could you tell us the fans to be exact what are the things that you do or suppose to do? Is celebrating in front of opponent supporters part of the roles? Or kicking the ball for out of play like you did during the Wolves game? Or leaving the back four exposed for opponent to come and attack the team?
No, I didn’t mean to be sacarstics to you but eversince you took over as a captain I dun see anything contributed by you to the team. Not in the pitch. Sorry. I might need to see the doc to fix my eyes but bloody hell I really dun see anything came out of you. I didn’t see you running and screamed to the 2 lazy midfielders in Smith and Richardson for today’s game (vs Fulham). You didn’t yell and asked them to closed down the opponent.
Seriously, what do you actually do? To be honest, I’m sick and tired to see the way your team perform lately. You know, for all the hardwork some ppl put, somehow some of your mates just totally let others down. How do you deal with it? How do you talk them? Aren’t they listening to you? Or they couldn’t care less coz you’re nothing but similiar to them?
I dunno but people been saying that it’s Fergie tactical which is no longer deadly worked. Do you believe in that? If not, what do you do? Wait for instruction from the gaffer? Can’t you made up your mind and decide what’s best for the team? Or are you afraid of being strip the captaincy?
Did you noticed the way you play lately? Did you observed the time given by Fergie to you? I think you’re not quite up to the challenge anymore. I read Giggsy’s autobiography abt the team. According to him, you’re the voice of the team. You’re more like the player’s union.
Well, maybe not on the pitch. You only spoke to the ref when you’re fouled. Hardly see you talked to the team. What happened? Are you trying to be the Mr nice guy? Forget it!
So, 6 goals againts us in 2 games. What now? Any resolution? Put you in centre midfield? Or perhaps, put you on the bench might be better? How do you explain the margin between the team and Chel$ki? Why aren’t we winning when the others are dropping points? Have you ever dream of lifting the trophy as a captain of Manchester United? If YES, BUCKLE UP MR GARY NEVILLE. Sometimes, I just hope that 1 day, someone just run down the pitch and punch you on the face so that you’ll wake up and face the reality.
Up until today, not even a second, I had respect for you. You’re no Keano nor Cantona! Perhaps you could stop the player’s revolt act and work your way for the team, CAPTAIN! I had so much things to say and swear but I better save my breathe and saliva than talking to a jerk like you!
